What do you think?

Hey guys,

What would you guys think if we offered this 16 ounce detail spray from Smartwax and a microfiber towel FREE with a purchase of any amount? Please let us know...

Cool. I would like to try that stuff.

Linderpat 11-06-2012 02:56 PM

I like it. Would buy.

Icemaster 11-06-2012 02:58 PM

Let me know when you do, I'll place that order that I can't seem motivated to submit...

Head416 11-06-2012 03:57 PM

You might want to rethink that "any amount": 900-123-118-30-M131

Hads930 11-06-2012 04:16 PM

Sure, tell Glen to pack it up. Placed an order about 2 hours ago.

Hard-Deck 11-06-2012 04:56 PM

Yes!

tevake 11-06-2012 07:01 PM

Better than jelly beans , which I never got anyway.
I like the top add best.

Cheers Richard

How is it on Hair?

mikeesik 11-06-2012 08:36 PM

Yes the top ad is better.
Bottom is ..from the past-K-Tel like.

Might be better to hide the blue and add a metal color.

Second text used in the first picture.... ;)

aigel 11-06-2012 09:44 PM

I'd rather pay less for the parts and / or shipping. But if it is a promo by the manufacturer, sure. :) The first picture is more professional, the second one oozes infomercial.

Don't do it unless, you and Wayne actually like the stuff. If so, then sure...we are all about FREE!

id10t 11-07-2012 05:36 AM

If you are going to use the 2nd ad, it should be on a Porsche

schamp 11-07-2012 06:09 AM

Second one at first glance makes you think it's for fixing headlights.

chuckr 11-07-2012 06:33 AM

Something for free is always good.
Never used Smartwax products but I'm sure it's good stuff.
I noticed Pelican carries a couple of major brands of detailing supplies.
Adams,Smartwax,Zymol and Chemical Guys. Chemical Guys will privet label
products. I use Chemical Guys products and would buy products labeled
Pelicanpaste(wax) for PelicanPoop(cleaner) or Pelicanpolish... you get the drift.

Por_sha911 11-07-2012 06:42 AM

That would appeal to the detailer crowd but many people who work on / track their cars look down on "Q-tippers" and regularly write that they let the rain detail the car (or at best they give it a quick wash).

As, a "Q-tipper" I want to know if it has silicone in it? If so, no interest (same reason I won't use Griots detailing formula).

The freebies you mention would not induce me to buy your products because as I like your products I would buy them anyway. The freebies just increase the cost of your doing business and eventually the costs get passed on to the buyer as it is built into the price of the product. Don't bother as I like your products anyway. Sorry to rain on your parade. :)

It is possible the manufacturer offers this entirely for free to break into the Porsche enthusiast market. I can only imagine it being at very low cost for Pelican, otherwise thiswould not be a consideration.
