Fastener help

What is the correct name for this fastener and where can I get some? It's a nut with an allen head, but it's metric. This one has a 10mm thread; the one I need would be 8x1.25

Barrel nut used on the exhaust system, started, etc. Ditch them and get copper nuts.

Ah, but that's not what I'm going to use it for. On the Type 3 motor with the single carb, the lower carb nut is impossible to get to. My idea is to use one of these instead.

I made one tonight as an experiment

Do you have a Fastenal out there?

I have also been pleasantly surprised with the local Ace Hardware for random fasteners...

I get most of my hardware (nuts, bolts, etc.) for the 911, two old Volvos and a Series I Land Rover from Ace. They have everything I need and I don't have to walk for miles and miles as in a big box store. Go ye also and be pleasantly surprised!

M8 x 1.25 barrel nuts are used on the 3.2 Carrera intake and there are three on each side of the cam towers.
