Subaru Legacy B Spec ??

Looking at maybe picking one up Monday.

It's a 2006 model with light professionally done mods (well done, not a boy racer). 110k miles.

Can get it for $10,500.

I'm very interested in what you guys think. It's a bit more than I wanted to spend but it's a lot more car than I was thinking too.

Those are fairly rare aren't they? I thought they looked cool when they were new. I'm not sure I have have seen one in person. Sleeper.

Cool cars, basically an adult STi. I had a 2005 Legacy GT wagon with a Cobb AccessPort tuner, SPT intake, and a downpipe, it was a seriously quick car. The interior is very nice for a Japanese car, it has a BMW feel to it. Pretty good seats, nice Momo wheel, good handling and braking. I took mine on a back road fun run with the BMW club and it did great. Clever touches, like a defrosting element for the front wipers, show that Subaru put some thought into things. Never drove it in the snow. I honestly really liked mine, the only complaint was the automatic gearbox vs a stick.

i used to have a 2005 legacy gt wagon. loved it.

Thx guys, yes they are kinda rare but not that parts are unavailable. This one is a manual, I didn't want an auto either. Think I might have to get it. :)

*not actual car but same color

lendaddy 11-17-2012 07:58 AM

And probably influencing me more than it should is the interior color which I love.

I had an 05 GT wagon with some goodies. Really liked it. The Spec B has the Sti's 6 speed transmission which is stronger than the GT's 5 speed. Nice rig. 9-10K is about right price IMHO

Congrats! Brilliant car.

vash 11-17-2012 06:04 PM

porsche4life 11-17-2012 06:10 PM

Way better than a TT... ;)

lendaddy 11-17-2012 10:18 PM

Damn you guys, gotta give him an answer tomorrow. Working 16 hours tonight...hope to make up my mind by morning.

ledhedsymbols 11-18-2012 05:19 AM

I'm with the rest of the guys. Honestly, how much fun can you have in a car for 10.5k that is going to look good and be reliable too? If I didn't drive on and off construction sites every day for work, that car would be on my short list!

Sarc 11-19-2012 07:27 AM

Wow. That interior....

onewhippedpuppy 11-19-2012 07:47 AM

So did you buy it?

lendaddy 11-19-2012 08:18 AM

Not yet,

There was a misunderstanding on the price and we haggled all day. I was stuck at 10,.5k and he was at 11.5k. I told him I would go 11k if he delivered and he was solid at 11.5.

He may call me back today or tomorrow but I doubt it. I know it's just a grand but if I'm going to drive 8 hours and go through all the hassle I want to get a deal.

onewhippedpuppy 11-19-2012 08:20 AM

Winter may be over before you buy your winter beater.;)

lendaddy 11-19-2012 08:24 AM

No doubt :) This was already more $ than I wanted to spend anyway so I had to stick to my guns.

Porsche-O-Phile 11-19-2012 09:05 AM

I'd get it. Then again I'm a lesibian trapped in a guy's body.
