'03 Lemond B-A 55 cm Triple - What's it worth?

'03 Lemond Buenos Aires 55 cm Triple.
I'd say less than 10 miles on it using a trainer - never on the road. A true virgin.
Thanks for any input.

Found a bike "Blue Book" online...
Price Range: $941 - $1,340
Does that sound accurate?
This rig is original and perfect! Sitting in my living room since purchased.

Tough call...

Gut says list at 800 and take 700.

Issue with used bikes like yours is that a new model in the 800-1000 range is likely a better bike. (lighter, components ect all evolved)

Great bikes. Frames are awesome.

The drawback is that they had pretty short head tubes. Ultegra is great stuff, but 9 speed is getting low on the totem pole these days.

Hard to tell, you might get $900 from the right buyer. Time is the key here, your target market (vintage steel) isn't super big.

Thanks.
Best place to advertise it?
Bike forums, craigslist, etc?

I agree with $700-$800 price range.

However, i disagree with second point. There is no bike in the $1000 range new that is as nice as that Lemond. Ie Ultegra and Reynolds 853 steel. Just the illusion of more capability with aluminum and higher gear count.

I like Craigslist for bikes, shipping can e a bit of a hastle. it's nice dealing local. E-bay sells plenty of bike, plus your find an example of yours out there to judge price.

$50, eh?
.
An online bike forum this morning...a fellow said, "I stole an '03 Lemond BA triple for $700."
Maybe I should ask $1,000 and see what shows up. (?)
Not even dust on this bike...covered w/king sized bed sheet.
Gotta find that ONE buyer.

Indeed Tiagra is now 10 speed! Can be had on a $1,100 Trek one series.

Those wheels are possibly something to covet though.

The price range quoted is accurate, but it'll be a difficult sell...I bought a couple of these last winter for around 450 each and parted them, the Ultegra triple group is desirable still...and the frames are awesome, but the crowd has moved on.
There was one listed for 750 for 4 months or so on the cnj craigslist.

The wheels are cool, but not covetable, 200 bucks or so on ebay.

Not the best of comps, but a couple years ago, I picked up an immaculate '00 Buenos Aires with 250 miles on it for $400.
Wonderful bikes...
