Best Buy has a 40" Toshiba LCD for $ 179.00 if you don't mind shopping at Midnight.

Other than that, I don't know who has the best bargains (or when), but if you're looking for long lasting, I would stick with major brands like Samsung, Toshiba, LG, etc. Skim these articles for some good info and tips... several pages each: Buying an HDTV: Buying an HDTV - Kim's Buying Guide and Advice on Shopping for Laptops, Digital Cameras, iPods, Computers, HDTVs, and More - The Kim Komando Radio Show TV marketing myths exposed: TV marketing myths exposed - Tips, Reviews and Advice on All Things Digital - The Kim Komando Radio Show Don't buy the in-store warranty.

We've had tremendously good luck with the 120Hz Westinghouse/Element LCDs. We've got four of them, up to 50"
Target has a Doorbuster 50" Westinghouse 1080p for $349....not sure if it's 120Hz

My better half purchased the Best Buy house brand Insignia.
It's 42 inch LED. She paid around $350-$400. The picture on it is better than my Samsung which I bought 1 year ago.

Bought a 36" LED 1080 / 120 from tiger direct for 199 plus tax w/free shipping for our spare br. They had 40"/44"+ etc. for not much more $$.
We couldn't find a better price and I looked! I won't stand in line at BB at midnight to save $$, he'll no! I went down to check it out one year in El Segundo as i was picking ip family late at LAX. The line went on and on and on, 5-6 people wide. To save what, $100 over other online sales? No thanks. Anyway, check out Tiger Direct. |

Still using my Emerson 36" flat screen - very tempting to upgrade but I learned my lesson a few years ago when I bought a laptop for just under $1K and then saw over just a couple years how the prices dropped while the product improved.
I'm going to wait until this TV goes south before buying a new one but it is amazing how much more you can get now.....

I'm looking for a cheap 32" for my kid's room. I won't buy another Vizio, I have 2 & they take forever to change channels, annoying when watching multiple sports. My LG & Samsung are fine.
