Rosetta Stone online

Has anyone used the online Rosetta Stone subscription to start learning another language? Was it worth it? It's 1 year unlimited anytime anywhere. I travel almost 100% of the time with my work and I am looking at this option so I don't have to carry the CDs everywhere.

I would need to access the online subscription from multiple computers (work & personal). Is this going to be okay? Is there a licensed client that gets installed on a single machine or is it all done through the web? Do the mobile apps work on multiple devices like a work phone, personal phone, iPad, etc.?

TIA

Make sure most RS can only be installed on one computer only and that's it.
One reviewer said that unless you are going to speak the language at least half the time 24/7, you won't get much more than a High School level retention out of any program.

Not putting miles on your car is like not having sex with your girlfriend, so she'll be more desirable to her next boyfriend.

Do they still offer that? Years ago I used it online and it was great. Cheap too. I think they wised up and only offer it installed at this point. Their prices have went up X10 in the past 10 years.

I believe they are having a december sale. Levels 1-5 for $400.

I guess I'm wrong. It looks like they do have an online option. Good to know!

Although I have no experience with the online version, I have used the classic DVD version on my computer to help with my Japanese and found it to be a terrific resource. It wasn't cheap but I highly recommend it in addition to a traditional class.
