Adobe Image Organizers / Editors

I have been using Adobe Elements 9 to organize and tweak my images, It works pretty well for what i need, I'm not changing the images to a great degree.

I know most of the hard core types use Light box and photo shop. I don't think at this stage I need that much power. I know I don't want to spend $$ on photo shop. I know light box has limited editing capabilities and It's pretty reasonably priced.

Does Light Box have more editing capabilites than Elements 9 ?

Is Adobe Light box worth buying to replace Adobe Elements 9 ?

You can get Adobe products on a monthly-subscription type basis now. Or if you have a student discount you can get a product suite for about 60% off.

I would definitely recommend getting the CS 5.5 suite if you can, utilizing Photoshop, Illustrator and Bridge to manage your documents.

For making an album and cropping and rotating images Picassa is great. It is free from Google. It has an amazing facial recognition feature. Tell it the name of a few faces and it will pick that person out of every photo on your computer.
