What Jeremy posted or find some you like and follow them on Twitter. I have friends who follow The Grilled Cheese Truck, they're addicted to the Frito Chili Belly Grilled Cheese.

There's also a decent burger place across the street from there, called The Counter.

I have found most food truck to be waaaay over priced and often the food quality is severely lacking. That being said there is one truck I really, really like (outside some truly outstanding late night taco trucks). Try the Pokey truck The Pokey Truck Japanese *Hawaiian**Wrap * - Home . They usually can be found around the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank at lunch time. They have terrific, huge burrito like rolls stuffed with crab, spicy tuna, and for the more adventurous out there, a very tasty eel! All rapped up in soy paper. Yum!

Usually, if you find one truck there will be at least two others right next to it. they will often times have links to websites or Twitter feeds that let you know where they are.

Good luck with your quest!
-Michael

i think food truck fare is typically expensive. i HAD to eat that that NOM NOM truck. 80% of my motivation was to meet and see that super hot owner. but noooooo...she apparently expanded to a second truck, and i was visiting version #2. there was a cutie there, but..

anyways. i paided $8 for a Bahn Min (something like that)..a vietnamese sandwich. i bought two!! in fremont i can get the exact sandwich..taste better out of a brick and mortar joint..for $2.50. the joy of a vietnamese sandie..is the rock bottom price. most of my food truck experience is the same. restaurant pricing, served out of paper tray.eaten while standing. we have taken a deep swig of the kool-aide people.

We had them cater our wedding. Was actually quite reasonable in bulk and was all-you-can-eat. That said I've never eaten from any of the gourmet trucks in LA. Closest though would be street cart tacos in Highland Park.

San Pedro has a monthly event (First Thursday). Grilled Cheese truck is there every time and has a line or Narbonne High School off of Western every Thursday. They have 10+ trucks every Thursday.

I find a table and chairs at each event.
