Jesse James built the USGP ride-along car?

 Will it have a flathead V-8, whitewalls, and moon hubcaps? :D

Tonight on Discovery - 10 PM Eastern

Jesse James: Outlaw Garage
Episode: Formula 1 Racer - NEW
Jesse eagerly accepts an opportunity to build a ride-a-long racer for the new Austin F1 track; delivery is jeopardized when the carbon fiber company goes off the rails.

Amazing how you can start a career by selling drugs to build capital.

Sounds like 90% of the music industry.

Gogar 11-26-2012 07:00 PM

Knowing (and not knowing) what has been there, would you really want to go there, you might end up screaming in pain when you wizz after being in there..:p

mossguy 11-26-2012 08:21 PM

Byron, I didn't think I would have to do that to be a groupie. Never mind if I could or not.

Back to the OP. First why would anyone look that direction to have the three seater built? Then knowing that was the source who would want to go fast in it?
I guess I should go back and check out the link.

Cheers Richard

It wasn't the 3-seater F1 you're thinking about... that is what I was expecting.

It was a 2-seater, front engine car made from a NASCAR racer that they cut up.

Nothing purty to look at, but it Jesse drove it like he stole it for a few laps on the Austin track.

Here it is in all its awesomeness. :D

I guess that's what you get when you take a motorcycle builder, have him build a car, and do it for a "reality" show.

I was thinking more along the lines of an obese Lotus 7 clone, but your description works, too.

widebody911 11-27-2012 05:39 AM

Looks like an Ariel Atom without all the burdensome design, engineering and build quality.

If you need help...

gwood 11-27-2012 08:09 AM

Would have been a lot simpler to just buy a Carrera GT.
