Store Puts Parking Boot On Ambulance
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1354484281.jpg
Paramedics from the New Orleans Emergency Medical Services darted into Quicky's convenience store to help a man who appeared to be having a heart attack. While they were working to save the man's life a Quicky's employee quickly attached a parking boot to their ambulance. Not expecting to be booted, the paramedics drove off towards the hospital only to hear a loud noise as the boot destroyed the ambulance's left-front tire. In defense of Quicky's, the paramedics didn't even buy a cup of coffee and the sign outside the store clearly says parking is "for customers only." The medics had to wait for another ambulance to transfer the patient to the hospital. |
Idiocracy.
Crazy, hope the guy didn't croak.
Well... It is NOLA. They've got more than their fair share of idiocracy down there....
So if someone were to hold up that place I wonder how fast the police response would be after that stunt
Can you say Liability!
Not so fast here guys....
Ambulances are owned by private corporations that compete against each other much like tow truck companies. Give me some more details before a quick judgement!! |
Sounds like something from "Reno 911"...
Maybe so, but it would be incredibly bad form to boot an ambulance that is on a call.... It's damn obvious when those guys are somewhere working....
In NYS if you are on a call with lights and siren you shouldn't be touched. Unless there is clearly reckless behavior on the part of the driver. Once we are out of the barn the lights and siren are on until we decide that they are not necessary.

I can see it now, they are getting held up, cops in the lot in their car. "We were afraid that if we got out of our car to stop the robbery, our car would be booted.
What kind of complete dumbass do you have to be to boot an ambulance in almost ANY situation. They need to get one of these from everyone they see for the next month. http://katepassionforlife.files.word...p_by_eib29.jpg |
