Google Nexus 7 v. Nook HD v. Kindle Fire
for wife for Christmas.
This will strictly be used as a book reader and internet surfer. Only need WiFi connectivity. Storage space is a nonissue. No gaming, etc. The tech seems to move so quickly on these, even reviews from 6 months ago seem outdated. Any experience/thoughts? Based on what I've seen so far, I'm leaning towards the Nexus 7 right now. |

Gosh I've never had the batteries or backlighting of a real paperback book fail me so far.
you can drop them in a bathtub too. call me old fashion, but I just don't get the e-book fad/craze.

My 16 yo son asked us for a nexus 7 this Christmas. We already have a kindle and an iPad . He knows a lot about computers and singled out the nexus most likely for the ability to be customized they way he likes. We just bought an asus laptop and have been pleased. If you need one, order on google's website. The are running $50 more on amazon. Wonder why
