This is when the Enterprise was brand new and the original crew was first brought together.

Casting did a great job.

Right down to those sneaky Romulans!!!

Thanks Byron!

WOW - that was GREAT! Encore coming up at 11pm.

That actor who played Kirk had his mannerisms down pat! I'm really impressed - for me it really gives credibility to this prequel.

I just found the trailers to this one - and looks like a sequel is coming out next year.

Freakin spectacular movie! I really liked the casting and the way they used the premise, but were able to change the story around so they don't have to copy the old stuff.

I agree Steve.....really enjoyed the character casting - so much like the originals only younger. James T. Kirk in particular....the way Chris Pine sat in the captain's chair - his demeanor....EXACTLY like the original Kirk!

FYI: The writers tried to find a way to use the elder Captain Kirk but ultimately were not comfortable in any of their ideas because of concern over it appearing 'gimmicky'.

Both actors however did get to meet and even have an arm wrestling match!
