Acoustic Guitar Humidifier - What kind? - Which one?

I'll be buying a new and expensive acoustic guitar in the next few days and, because I live in AZ, I need some info on humidifiers.
Should I buy a whole room rig or one with a sponge hanging from the strings, etc?
I lived in CA for 40 yrs. & it wasn't an issue in the SF Bay Area. New issue for me here.
Any advice/tips?

I use the Oasis humidifiers in all my acoustics. They work well, and need checking and/ or refilling once a week. They never drip as long as you wipe the outside before placing in your guitar. I've seen a few guitars for sale (Froggy Bottom, Santa Cruz, etc.) that had reduced sale prices due to water stains on the guitar label from leaky humidifiers.

What kind of guitar you getting if you don't mind me asking?

I'm leaning towards the Martin HD-28V to replace my J40M that I sold after my 1st stroke in '06 (lost all hand coordination).

Thanks for the tip.

I had a J40, great guitar. The D28's are nice, take a look at the D21 Special if you find one. Have you visited Acoustic Vibes in the Phoenix area? Jeff's a good guy and has some beautiful guitars. Good luck!

Well, more good info - I'll look into the D21 Specl & AV to see what they have. Thanks again.
.
Balance & coordination is coming back - I miss plucking.

The D21 Special has a 1 3/4" nut vs the D28's 1 11/16" nut. Don't know if that makes a difference to you, I just liked the tone and feel of the 21, wished I never sold it. Elderly Inst. has one for sale right now, good guys to deal with.

Check Taylor Guitars - they have turned this into a science of sorts.
