Cayenne headlights for growing pot!?!

"After a rash of recent thefts in Amsterdam, many are questioning whether there is a specific reason why thieves are only stealing Porsche headlights, rather than other parts of the vehicle.

One explanation is that marijuana growers are targeting Porsches for their distinctive high-intensity discharge xenon lamps...."

perfect. they run off of a twelve volt system. i bet they are much more efficient than a 2000 watt grow lamp. i am probably wrong. but good stuff.

I can see a "Cayenne Registry" some day, the email list (they are old curmudgeons) subject is something like "Found source of NOS bulbs in police storage. See fleabay add #........."

When my low beam burned out on my Touareg, I was amazed at how easy it was to pull the whole headlight assembly out of the fender - took me 5 minutes, the first time, on my driveway, in the snow. The down side was the $105 for the replacement bulb assembly. Bill K

The 993 is like that. Lift one lever (inside the trunk) and pull it out. Truly less than 30 seconds.

Took me a few more mins than that on mine. I had to find a good sized 1/4" extension with an 8mm socket to actuate the lock then the darn this was stuck!

Cayenne headlights fall out on their own... are they sure they're being stolen?
