resizing a pic

Hey guys and gals. I am trying to post a pic but I can not get it to up load due to the file size. Can someone post how to resize the file. This is the message I am receiving.

Your file is too large to process on the server. Please resize your file and try the upload again.

Thanks for any help.

You can do it in Preview if you are using an Apple, needs to be smaller than 2 mb I believe.

In Windows 7 open the picture with Windows Live Photo Gallery, click on Edit tab, click properties, click re-size, click select a size. Hopefully this helps.

I downloaded a file resizer program for free. Just search for it for Win 7. It allows you to resize 100's of files at one time.

I use an desktop app called JPGPrep that a Pelican wrote and offered for free on this forum quite a few years ago. It works great.

You could also just email the pic to yourself using Windows Mail. The default setting is "medium" which would reduce it's size to that acceptable for Pelican.

Just save the new attachment to your desktop when you receive that email
