Works fine for my needs. No glitches. I don't even know what coverflow is.

cover flow shows you the cover of the album playing and other albums are in the background and are easy to page thru

- is there something as nice in the new version?

Yes, it's in the new Mini Player. You click on the Up Next button and it displays the upcoming songs, which can be changed on the fly.
