Wasn't the world supposed to end today or something?

My buddy turns 50 today. Only four or five years ago he realized it would be in 2012.

Was commenting to my wife the first time I remember being aware of the dates lining up was 5/5/55. Then the realization dawned how long ago that was.

That sucks. The 21st is a Friday. We should petition to have the weekend to party then have the world end on Monday instead.

I've often wondered, in which time zone would the world actually end as prophesied? NYC just like New Years? GMT? Or maybe the apocalypse slowly creeps around the world, one hour per time zone, just so the Mayans are correct?:cool:

No the world isn't supposed to end on the 21st. It may seem like a good idea to get rid of most of our politicians & clean house. Some cycles on the Mayan calender complete & continue moving from the fourth world to the fifth world in their terms. We complete another 25,00 year lap of the galaxy so I will open a bottle of nice wine to celebrate on the 22nd.
