Anyone into Teardrop trailers? OR....ULTIMATE 911 TOW THREAD.....

As some of you know....my SC longhood backdate, 3.6 cab with a roll cage mounted bike rack has a tow hitch.

I'm also building a teardrop trailer.....as a sustainability/zerowaste wacko I am using recycled products and my own labor.......rate the thread one star, I don't give a crap.

Will be posting pics. DRACO drove the ride from Carson City to SO CA. It tracked straight, ya THINK I WAS gonna test it out? Has 15x6 Fuchs, polished to match the ride.

Why? Simply to pissoffthepuristjackoffs...that's why.

Are you saying that your new teardrop is on the road? And we don't have pictures here of it hooked up to the SC? Come on, lets have a look.

Cheers Richard

Still needing finish work and registration but wired. Needs a side door and trim.

nice..

good call on a door. a door would be nice. :D

Joe Bob 12-15-2012 10:10 AM

It HAS a rear entrance....typically for use of a kitchenette.

A pre-hung side door with a frame is around $300 delivered. Looking for a recycled door or an idea to make one or something unique....

Cool project there Joe Bob. Nice material you had for the siding. Can see the struggle you had with the corner trim. Some times there is no alternative to the right machine for a job.
Does the body lift off to free the trailer for other duties?

Cheers Richard

Why not get a stainless door of of an old refrigerator? Or better yet french doors off a fride. I had a SS fridge that crappedd out and its sitting at a appliance scrap yard. There wee several their. You could even leave the internal shelving on it for storae, Plus its insulated.

Trim is an experiment......prolly gonna have to spring for a proper bend/crimp tool.
