To think that some of these old actresses are aging gracefully is pretty naive..The better they look, the more work they have had done....As to why some look natural and some look like the Joker, some tried to do too much too late or didn't get the right surgeon..Morgan is a good example of doing it right..IMHO

Some people don't really look their age. I am not talking about meth addled, 4 tooth havin' wrecks, I mean in a good way. My aunt Esther always looked the same, about 50 or 60, from the time she actually was that age, until she died in her 80's. There is an elderly black lady that is a patient of mine, quite stunning really. If I did not know how old she is, I would never guess

I'd be game, but unfortunately I don't post pictures of myself on the interwebs. To me only weight, fitness and half way decent hygiene are important. I do nothing to try to look younger otherwise (no hair treatments, fad clothes, teeth whitening or breast implants ...) ;)

Decades ago I read that Morgan Fairchild was a sinfully ugly girl. She had very bad skin, no boobs, & teeth that could eat a tomato through a tennis racket, etc. She, or someone, decided to pay attention, put her through major transformation and Bingo!, we have a new look. I must say, she always did it for me. :)

The only people who seem to age well are people of colour. (Asian, African, Southern Medeterainian etc) The extra melanin in their skin protects them from sun damage.

I don't think brits age any better or worse than any other white people. In fact, without the sun to ruin their skin, they tend to age slightly better IMO.

Olivia Newton John had so many surgeries in her face that lately she looks like a doll from Madame Tussauds. She also has Jewish ancestry (so not your typical anglo saxon) Although she looked older than 58, she still looked better without the latest plastic surgeries in this picture...

Helen Mirren is an attractive 67 year old but doesn't look younger than her age. Her real name is Ilyena Vasilievna Mironov. British? Go figure. Good genes matter... She also had a lot of work done in her face.

Elizabeth Hurley looks old despite having gone through plastic surgery and botox. Her wrinkles and hollows in her face give away her age. She is attractive, but she had plastic surgery to change her natural features in the past, which is why she looks good.

In any case your average British women don't go under the knife as the celebrities you mentioned above.

If you really want to see how real British women age, you need to go to London and meet people from there. (I travel on business to the UK all the time and know how my work colleagues look in comparison to my colleagues from the US and Canada). A great majority of British girls (no offense) are obese and not very attractive. While in London the only gorgeous women I have seen come from either Eastern Europe (Russia, Ukraine) or South America (Brazil?)

Perhaps your wife's case is a rare exception, then again we all like to think of our wives as Goddesses... Beauty is in the eye of the beholder....:)

BTW I come from Montreal where women are naturally beautiful so I know a lot about this topic :)

I've noticed that many of the "before" pics have the subject in full make-up where many of the "after" pics have the subject with little or no make-up. That alone can make a big difference, no matter the person's age.

I would suspect Ms. Lohan as applied a fair amount of alcohol also.
