Are these women related?

Is Matt Damon's wife (Luciana Barroso) related to Robert Duvall's wife (Luciana Pedraza) and Mark Sanford's fiancée (Maria Belen Chapur)?

The three of them are Argentines and look alike...

Nah, all (good looking) Argentines look that way. I have a couple cousins in Buenos Aires that are identical to Mrs. Damon.

Pretty sure Val was my first movie star crush...

I'm sure many of us have been hit with the curse of the middle age metabolism... when I went from construction worker to computer tech at 30 I ballooned out to 230... now at 200 I still have a bit of a spare tire that I'm going to work on this year.

Looking at those photos of Carrie Fisher makes me realize how things have changed. When I was a kid (80s) all the old people 60s-70s who used to be hot (30s and 40s) were in black and white photos and always looked kind of old to me. Now, Carrie Fisher, who is old now, her young photos in the 80s are in color and she looks young to me. Any other midlifers having this weird experience.

BTW, I didn't realize this was the same guy.

Yeah, I know what you mean, it is called midlife crisis. :D Kids growing up make you feel old! mad: (BTW, I have some friends my age who are still single and didn't hit midlife crisis yet). Also, if both of your parents have passed away you suddenly realize that you are now the older generation. For us men, midlife can bring some challenges in our relationships.. we all know that when we hit midlife this often leads to infidelity (Governor Sandford?) ;)

I lived in Buenos Aires for 7 months back in 2004 and all hot women I saw (most of them!) looked like Valeria Mazza (Argentine model for Guess). Girls from outside Buenos Aires (what Argentines call the provinces) looked more like Matt Damon''s wife Luciana.

Funny, they are originally from Cordoba, so you might be on to something. Interestingly, the majority of my second cousins are all blondes, and are quite striking for being 60+.

I know! I have even heard of some guys who hit a midlife crisis go out a buy some zippy car...like a porsche or something.

Me, I am hanging on OK. Today, I weigh 5 pounds more than when I graduated college almost 25 years ago. I wasn't much of a looker in college, so there was much room for improvement.

I like a woman aging naturally, let the wrinkles happen but stay healthy and active and watch your weight. In general I am against plastic surgery unless you really look like hell, but trying to look 20 when you are 50-60 is just silly.

Here's an aging gracefully.

Priscilla was so pretty when she was young! In some cases the prettier ones age the worst! Not always though. I know a few who aged very well (no wrinkles or sagging)!

As you said, plastic surgery is unnatural... but in some cases helps... I would say that although Cher looks like a doll (motionless face) she still looks kinda good for 66.

In my case I was always considered very handsome :D and still look the same now as I did 15 years ago. In my case I know it is the genes!

Another beautiful Argentine (from Buenos Aires) reminds me of a girl I dated for a few months while living in Argentina.

Good thing so many Germans fled there at the end of the war.

Although a large percetage of Argentines have German ancestry, most of them are of Italian or Spanish heritage (or both) including Valeria Mazza and Julie Gonzalo. most have ancestors from northern Spain (Celtic) and parts of southern Italy (Norman) where a lot of people have light hair and blue eyes. This map shows you that in those parts between 20 to 49% of people are natural blond (same percentage as northern France and parts of England).

Yes, that is correct! When I was there, there were many immigrants from Korea as well.
