Finished the Horse Head yesterday
This is about as close as I have been to a horse, I did ride one once in Costa Rica on a bar tour, that's about it. So, it isn't supposed to be realistic. Just close from pictures, stylized. I signed it in the ear, like a tatoo. Also on the right side mane I put my initials, hard to see, not in your face. Pink Alabaster, probably 40 lbs now.
I am going to do a bigger one but I want to do a fish or an Easter Island head first.

Awesome, you've come a long way since you first started tinkering with this artsy fartsy stuff.
I can't wait until the pelican you carved for me is worth enough to retire on. BTW I hate to rain on your parade but it looks like that horse has a whole bunch of cracks in it. Did you drop it or something and hafta glue it all back together?

because of the shape of the stone I had to tip the head down quite a bit, a woman in the class with me that owns horses said it was ok, it's called "collecting" when they do that.

Wow, really nice man. I keep meaning to get back into doing some kind of art, but, well, you know. Never was much good with sculpture or carving though. Impressive.
