Harbor Freight thin vinyl gloves here, used only to keep the big chunks of dirt off. Cannot wear the bigger versions, just does not feel right.

Mechanix for me. I typically grind a hole or two through a new pair inside of 20 minutes. Then I figure out how much a new pair will cost me and I make 'em last for another month.
I wear them for the same reason as ZOA. And because I make my living with my hands (coding) whereas goofing off in the shop is just for fun. |
Hundreds of yrs. ago, I dated a physician who needed a tire change. She had a box of surgical gloves in her house so I wore a pair to do the job. She gave me the box & I used them when I worked on my rigs because I hate dirty hands (I still wash my dishes in order to get my hands clean). My buds made fun of me but after a few yrs., the dealer mechanics began wearing them.
So I was a pioneer, eh? |

We went to dinner, had a great time and returned home. Shortly after getting back to her house her beeper went off and one minute later mine did as well. Heart transplant mission... she was the doc in back of the plane, I was the pilot... BTW, I do the same with dishes. Gets two things done at one time! :) |

BTW - you need to get get a Wrench Warmer! I bet Greaseball's Garage sells them. |
I only wear gloves to attempt to keep warm, generally they are cotten work gloves that get messy and thrown away in short order. I generally bring home a bundle about every 3-4 months.

No I don't. I've tried them but they were a PITA.
