I've run Cooper tires on a Toyota Landcruiser. That was a work car and more than ten years ago. Real bush bashing in the outback. I was working as a tec for a telecommunications company.
Great tires IMO. I should have read more of the web page.

I have a set on my beater with a heater Jeep. They seem to wear pretty well, but they are a discount tire, so don't expect great things from them. They are better than the Bridgestones I replaced.

I have no idea how they compare to other brands on the street, but they are one of only a couple options sizewise in the dirt oval street stock class that I am building a car for.
The track mandates DOT tires that are no wider than 255 and must use 15" steel wheels. For stagger purposes I am using the Mastercraft 245/60/15 on the left rear and 255/60/15 Firestone Firehawks on the rest. ![]()

My dad built Cooper tires for 41 years in thier Findlay, Ohio plant so I have had many sets of Coopers (no Mastercrafts though). Cooper is a replacement tire manufacturer for older cars that need the factory installed tires replaced.
Thier better passenger radials wear well with no road noise, and are a good value when compared to OEM. |
