Android App for Pelican Please

The I-Phone optimization works ok on Iphone and android but..
Cannot respond to PM's.
Can't post pictures.
Search is difficult.
Can't zoom in on pictures.
Generally needs some fine tuning.
Works just the same on android and Iphone, I have both.

I'm sure someone here knows someone that could write a great app for this site.

Poll is to see if others agree.

The tapatalk app works fine on my HTC. PMs work for me. Never needed to post a photo. -J

Inability to zoom on photos frustrating at times.

It's because the mobile version of of VBulletin, what the forum runs on, is forced as the default.

Tapatalk or simpler get the Chrome browser (free) on your phone.

Navigate to Pelican and from the tab top right "Request Desktop Site"

Full functionality restored including zooming and uploading photos direct from the phone.

Should work on iPad as well.

Apparently Chrome isn't compatible with my HTC phone. 2.3.1 :(
No free tapatalk to try any more?

I'd say that between the free version of the site and the cheap tapatalk app, we're covered.

I wish I could access the full desktop version from my iPhone. Then I could answer PMs.

Look above, see my instructions on using Chrome on your iPhone.

That sucks. Kind of ironic, chrome does not work on googles platform.

I know, I already have Chrome and don't like it as much as Safari. It's an option, but I'd prefer to not change browsers to answer a PM or zoom on a picture.

Thanks for the tip about Chrome on the iPhone.

Nice to be able to blow up pics when needed.

I will only use desktop version when needed though, mobile is much better for everyday use.

Never had any trouble using the full site on my ancient droid. I can even take a photo and upload it...
