Interesting (casting) video from the movie "The Outsiders"

Great movie - and book.

Francis Ford Coppola - legendary director.

Here's an interesting glimpse into the casting of the movie.

Check out all the famous actors at a young age....

Great movie, I have on VHS. What else did the actor playing Pony Boy do? I don't remember him in anything else.

C. Thomas Howell

He was in quite a few notable flicks.

Here's a classic one - "Grandview USA" - with Jamie Lee Curtis :p

Then there was the original (and best) "Red Dawn"

"All that hate's going to eat you up, son"

"Keeps me warm."

:)

C Thomas Howell, he was in Red Dawn, as above, Soul Man(he impersonated a black guy to get ahead) Hitcher, with Rutger Hauer was his best work, if you ask me. I think he was in ET also

He played Dewey Dudek in SouthLAnd last I saw him. Did a pretty good abrasive alcoholic cop.

Looks like he's quite busy.

Thanks for posting, looks interesting. I'll have check out the movie.

Vincent - you're welcome. So you've never seen the movie? It's a classic in the truest sense of the word. Especially given the ensemble cast - many of whom were virtually unknowns before their appearance here.

Here's another video - check out a 16 y/o Diane Lane in the opening shot!

Great movie! Yeah, I remember Cherry AKA Diane Lane. What a knock out she was (and still is)!

Ah, Diane. She still look damn good. A real sweet heart too. I have been doing work for her since my college days.
