There are 2 local gas stations that implemented the TV while you wait theme. I made sure to take my credit card inside so I could tell the cashier that as long as they blast advertisements at me while I'm filling my car, I won't be back.

Appliances that have completely symmetrical doors with no indication of which sides are handle/hinges.

flskala 02-19-2018 03:35 AM

ok, here you go....

Parked wherever and someone that is parked next you and gets out and leaves.... then they hit their clicker/door lock 10 times so you can clearly hear that their $5k SUV is locked. Yeah, I get it - you want me see your CRV is locked and your $20 jacket, dunkin donuts cups & spare tool kit are safe now... what azzhats!

For the record, I hit mine ONCE!

Blue jeans and white sneekers. Especially on grand parents.

I'm sure they feel cool and comfortable, but.......

Help me understand is it the jeans or the sneakers or the combination?
I am a grandparent and jeans are part of my wardrobe.

Sorry if I have offended.

Just because others wear something you don't like or make noises that you find disturbing does that make them bad or make you intolerant?

Like I used to say to my wife it is not what the baby does but how you handle it!

Intolerant is one thing. Annoying is another.

Yes indeed it is a fine line between the two. The most tolerant travelers have got to be motorcyclists. Take for instance Richard Motion and Wayne Wayner on their Alaska trip. Imagine all the crap they had to put up with from ignorant drivers on that long journey and not one complaint from either of them. Having said that they don't hear anything until they take their helmets off and their ear plugs out!:D

You cant lift them off because they are tapered. You end up touching the ones below yours and the next person gets to put their lips on whatever you fingers have been in.

As well as I get about five sets of finger germs in my mouth from the peeps before me.

That's why you pull off the top 10 lids, take the bottom one and replace the top 9. But I don't drink coffee, and I definitely wouldn't get it at gas stations if I did.

Weird. They all have it around here, but I put the pump in and start it and then I wander off, possibly cleaning my windows or just checking out the car. I barely notice it unless I'm standing right at the pump.

Maybe he is one of THOSE guys that insists you don't wear white shoes after Labor Day?
I understand the silliness of really old people wearing things to try to look like they are 20 and trendy. Along the same lines as ultra tight clothing on a body that is way too obese... That said, jeez, get over it.

Baz 04-09-2018 10:07 AM

This morning ran by the store to pick up a couple items and while in checkout the guy in front after unloaded his items, pushes his basket on the floor in a void at the base of the conveyor belt.

Obviously, he did this because it was convenient to him....not because it was a responsible way for an adult consumer to act.

I didn't say a word. I just picked it up and stored in under my shopping cart so I could return it to where the baskets were kept in the front of the store.

He saw me do it and gave me a look. In response I said "No worries....I will put it back with the others out front."

So he checks out and I move my cart forward and next thing I know he reaches down and pulls his basket back out and puts it with the others out front.

Good for him - I wasn't trying to be a jerk or anything. I spent 10 years as a store manager (business to business) and it's in my blood to be responsible as a consumer myself.

I wonder if he felt like a schmuck and decided to correct his irresponsible act?

:D

It's a peeve - there's nothing to get over. It's not like anyone's calling for seniors to be rounded up in camps and gassed, or confronting strangers and haranguing them. Someone doesn't like someone else's fashion sense - no biggie. It's just a peeve, sheesh.

This has probably been mentioned before: a pseudo-intellectual spewing some techno-babble on the tube the other night persisted in using "asteriks" in place of asterisk.

Cheers

You are intolerant in almost all scenario's , unless it is a dude wearing flip flops, then that makes them bad . Just thought I would clear that up . SmileWavy
