I may need a storage place until the Spring....

if it runs you could park it on the street outside the crazy old aldy's house - needs to be moved every 3 days and she WILL complain to the City (she even harasses people getting out of their cars parked there with flowers in their arms for the cemetery at the end of the street)

if I had an iota of room on my patio I'd offer that...

and BTW - be SURE you fit in this one before you...

Paul, I emailed you a few candidates.

Good luck with this, and have fun.

Hard-Deck 12-27-2012 06:30 PM

Seahawk, I have a contact at the ready. PM me details and he'll launch.

Seahawk 12-28-2012 06:55 AM

On it's way.

Hi Paul,
My son knows these things inside and out (as do I).
He's got a '72, he is a qualified Toyota mechanic and he'd love to help. Unfortunately he can't get there right away!
I hope the deal works out for you ... just make sure Jack gets involved in the rebuild so he'll know what makes it tick. ;)

There are some really amazing diesel conversions available, but if we go that route I want to do it. This will be my Son's car when he graduates so safety is paramount.

We'll see. The market for these things is very interesting, all over the map in terms of price and condition.

You sold the bath-tub? Jeez thought that one was a keeper! That said, love the early Land Cruisers...

Good to hear from you Bill! Hope all is well. Jack has become a better, more patient mech than me! It will be his in a few years so he will be involved come what may.

Not a bath-tub...a 356 Notchback of some dry distinction

Kim's POC, a SGM, did an outstanding job of looking over the FJ for me...text book stuff, very thorough.

I'm going to pass on this one. He wants way to much. I enjoy the journey as much as the destination.

Edit: Kaisen has found one in Idaho undergoing work I find the best candidate so far. BTW, Eric, it was a pleasure to speak with you the other day. Very refreshing.
