Porsche on Google Maps

Google immortalized someone driving their P-car (80s vintage?) on Canfield Rd In Mine Hill NJ in August of 2009. These are some of the better shots:

It would be cool if that car belonged to a Pelican. Google still hasn't updated the map with our house since 8/2007...

Awesome, if you keep clicking just behind the Porsche you can see that they were following it down the road while recording.

Very cool.:)

You can select street view at Portland International Raceway. THey are following a GT40 and a Corvette.

"Immortalized?" Pfff ... that 911 will still be there when the google images of it will long be history. :)

The raceway google street views are fun. I have been around Laguna Seca on it to discuss turn 7 ...

I like the way the internet is going. By the time I am an old fart and can't move any more, I can just go play pretend on the web.

You don't need to wait, no new car feels as connected to the road as that 911...in fact you'll be able to use the Internet in your car while driving, how dangerous could that be?

I live just a very short distance from there, and regularly drive my 911 on that road, but no, it's not my car.

My '87 is black/black with f/r spoilers.

I'll have to ask around and see if anyone locally know who it is. There are, however, quite a few older 911's in the area.

Btw, Vin - you and I are probably neighbors, or close to it.

Hey DW, maybe I'll catch you at a local meet! Mine's a Red/Tan Coupe...
