Some Beautiful 'Garages'

Something tells me that the owners don't do a whole lot of wrench'n - don't see a tool or oil drip but still the stuff of awe and possible envy.

The thing I noticed first was (besides the beauty of it all) was the lack of 'stuff' - no clutter. Got me thinking...its because they can't afford anything else!

Mike if I owned some of those cars I would not need anything "else" I'd sit in the garage all day and drool on my MC12 and go for the occasional drive.....

My friend's brother-in-law built a $7 million dollar house 4 yrs ago. That guy started with squat and busted his ASS for years to get where he is now. His house is every it as nice as any of the ones above. I assure you, his hands have been dirty plenty. Not saying they all have but I would be hesitant to make that blanket statement.

Understood. Don't think I would necessarily throw that blanket statement out there, either. But I'm pretty comfortable opining that the owners of the stuff in the above pictures never got their fingernails dirty wrenching on any of their exotica in those garages.

I guess all it takes is money and the balls to spend it.

Mostly money, IMO. Doesn't take balls to spend it.

If I am not mistaken, those garages, or some of them anyway, were entered into a sort of competition for an ultimate garage. I think it had something to do with Maserati. Anyway, you'd expect them to be clutter-free, if they were entered in a contest. It's be hard to win if you looked like a hoarder.

No sense of humor. Just jealousy when looking at those pics.

My garage is craptastic in comparison (not that you could even begin to compare mine to those, above). But at least I have one.

They do nothing for me. Zilch. I would prefer a crappy garage with a toolbox and a hoist.

As mentioned, I think it was an Architectural Digest and Maserati feature.

My favorite is the one with the woody wagon in it, looks almost like a fire station from the outside.

I realize that. But I'm still jealous of those other garages and their contents.

Give me six months in any one of those places, and I would have oil on the floor, stains on the wall, and parts and cars in different states of disrepair strewn about the place.
I cant wait to build my dream garage at home, you know, a clean one that I really dont have to work in.
