NHL withdrawl

So, what are my fellow hockey fans doing to deal with the "D.T.'s"?

On a totally different note: maybe Tim Thomas saw this coming and was a genius when he said he wanted to take a season off.

Also what is it without a conspiracy theory: this whole thing was done because the league wanted to make sure Sid the Crybaby was well enough to come back before they started playing hockey again. Sorry, couldn't resist.

The NFL wild card games look to be very interesting this weekend. As far as the NHL lockout goes - I am starting to not give a rats a$$.

& OBTW - Hawks over the Skins by a touch - Vegas has the Hawks by 3

Cheers
JB

I guess that's been my opinion for 47 years....isn't the IHL and other leauges still playing. I have caught several Cleveland Monsters/Toledo Storm games in the past because they were free to me. I never played the game, so the rules, and passion are foreign to me.

My company has a box for our local junior team. (no nhl team in my little city). They play in the WHL....These kids really want to play hockey, sure is refreshing to watch and I have saved THOUSANDS of dollars not traveling to NHL cities, hotel rooms, team jerseys,,,,and the crazy ticket prices!!!! I think I am a fan of true grit hockey again....WHL style!!! (Western Hockey League)

No one here watched more hockey than me (200 games one year, and played in over 100).

My life is greatly improved since the strike. I hope they stay out all year.

Joe, Tim a genius??? thats a bit of a stretch. actually when Tim announced his sabatical I figured he had taken 1 too many pucks to the head, not that it really matters the way the season is going but how many years does TT have left anyway? I think we'll see TT back this year if we end up with a shortened season. Tim a genius? - No, too many pucks to the head? - probably.
I've gone to all my kids games cause I'm home for a while where I would normally see him play only 5-6 times a year because of work, although he is 1 of the best players on his team, its still 11-12 year olds and sometimes its tough to watch. Tuned into the World Juniors and that was great hockey, not the outcome I was hopeing for but still good hockey. I'm spending more time in the garage with the cars and doing stuff that I've been putting off.
The WHL and the CHL are both great leagues but it's still not the NHL. I'm not losing interest in the game but I am sick of the media flogging the lockout to death.
When I'm Prime Minister I'm going to pass a law making the NHL an essential service where strikes and lockouts are illegal, Gary Bettman will also be banned from entry to Canada and charged with crimes against hockey fans.
Com'on, just drop the puck!

Cmon Finn, you know how I feel about the Bruins:

Bettman? I am surprised someone hasn't put a bounty on his head in several northern states or in a few providences. Is there a Canadian version of Goodfellows?

Tim taking a puck to the head? He's tougher than the sisters combined. He was even willing to throw down with someone about 6" taller than him:
