CA Ferrari driver killed in Ventura County

Hope it's not someone we know;

Ferrari driver dead, passenger hurt in fiery Ventura County crash - latimes.com

That area is dangerous, farm fields, equipment, muddy roads. Add high speed and things could go wrong quick. The turn where he lost it can be tricky at speed. Not that I would know...

Never would have happened if they'd been in a well set up 944.

Definitely...neither one fast enough to get you in trouble.

My Bullitt Mustang made it's usual run to the pool hall & back yesterday. No trouble.

Well, if it had been in a Mustang or a 944, it's unlikely they would have been mentioned in the story...

Unless it was his daughter...one of the benefits of having a Ferrari. "the 52-year-old Morro Bay driver ...[and] his 23-year-old passenger". I am sure she wasn't hot.

Anyway, RIP.

We used to drag race on Las Posas back in the day. I remember there was this Plymouth Satellite with no hood. Dude was untouchable.

Still here, says he was 52...I'll be 52 in a couple weeks. At that age he REALLY should've known better. Looks like a 360 or Stradale; RIP.
23 yr old passenger...hopefully not his son.

Apparently, it was a Challenge Stradale. Not too many in SoCal. RIP driver. Wonder if he had the electronics turned off.
