Update on Pelican Doug Kubany
 

I posted some info on him yesterday but just got some info from his daughter, Lynn. I'm not sure that if I just put this on the end of that thread it would be seen by all his Pelican friends. This is what I received from Lynn this AM.

"My sis is starting a list of everyone's contact info so we can give updates on dad, etc. I was not sure of all his friends in Florida so I did'nt send them all letters. Sounds like Jeremy was close those to send a Christmas card. Also, you can tell them Dad is staying at Sunrise of Rochester, right in downtown Rochester (Michigan) off of University Drive. He can have visitors and would probably love it. Just plan ahead and call him ahead of time to ask the nurse how he is that day and give a time frame to her so she can make sure he is aware and ready. I would just caution anyone that wants to go what they are dealing with. Its a nice place but it is the dementia ward."

I'm pretty sure that Doug would like an occasional visitor but do follow Lynn's advice on calling first to ask how he is. Some days, not so good I guess.

I don't know much more than this at this point. I will be taking pics of his Cab this weekend. He had done a lot of neat things to it...

Hi Ken. Maybe some of the folks in NPOG would be interested in his Cab. It's in Nevada City now. He did one or two events with us a few years back.

Mark, I had another member contact me about Doug's car. I will send out an email to the group.
