Audi 4000
My buddy has an Audi 4000 and is looking for door handles. Does any know of any decent yards (like Parts Heaven .. See P car content ) where he might find them?

You might check with a local self service "Pick n Pull" wrecking yard or maybe a local shop that buys from World Pac. Might share the same door handle as a VW, but not sure.

turn your buddy onto this forum:
audifans.com. While not as active as Pelican, there's a mailing list with a lot of enthusiasts (who know their stuff, particularly when it comes to the older modesl) and the site has some good classifieds in the Marketplace section. He can find a 4000 getting parted out, buy another car, post a want-to-buy ad, etc. Good luck to him, I had a 86 4000cs quattro, that car was a ton of fun to drive in the snow. It's been replaced with a series of turbocharged avants, which have more room and go faster! ![]()

I don't know the 4000's well, but I know my buddy's 5000 shares door handles with my 924.

Audi 4000 door handles are common with many VWs of the time. The basic car was available in Europe at the time as the Quantum.
Mine was an '87. No wonder they put a turbo on that motor. Best Les
