Epson sux

Brand new printer/scanner right out of the box doesn't work. Install disc didn't work either. Twenty minutes to download the driver from their website. On the helpline for freakin' ever can't get it to work. Now I need to return it directly to them and get a replacement.

sigh, rant off.

Can never go wrong with a Brother printer. Even the cheap ones. Always work right out of the box.

Wow! I have an Epson GT-550 that I use to stay paperless and it's great!

We got a "free" Epson when we bought out son's Mac book. It's the slowest printer I've ever seen, but makes more noise than three printers combined.

We have two. One is almost a decade old and the other is new and have had not had any issues with either.

This. I always get called for help when my anti-tech inlaws have an issue at their home or business. Brother is the only brand that they can't seem to break. We had a Brother laser printer at home for close to 10 years before we gave it away, replaced it with a Brother all in one. Except for occasionally forgetting my wireless network it has worked great.

I am on my second Epson printer now, I liked them both, had some Cannon and HPs and didn't have problems with them either. Just the luck of the draw. I think I went with the Epson this time because the ink seems to be less expensive.

Make sure you are downloading the appropriate drivers. i had the same issue with a Lexmark running windows 7. It turns out i had to download the driver for Windows vista. Go figure. The printer.scanner/fax machine now works.
