915 shifting complaints - a historical perspective
Complaints about the 915's shift quality are nothing new:

I had an 82 Targa. Shifting the 915 was not as bad as some suggest, it just required a bit more 'deliberate' movement. You can shift it pretty quickly, but it has to be a smooth action. Never detracted my enjoyment of the car at all. Fantastic machines.
