Bet you haven't seen one of these before! 936 Jr

1985 936 Jr. which is a replica of the 936 introduced in 1976. This is #85 of 100 of these built. 5hp briggs and straton. Top speed 32 mph. Fun little collectors item.

Made by Porsche in 1985 as a tribute. These are worth some decent coin, last one sold at Sotheby's for $10k. They only made 100, 1 is in the Porsche Museum.

So the motor is actually a "Briggs UND Stratton"?

They were made by an outfit in Poland. FAO Scwharz (sp?) had them on display for sale as well. The Jules version was the most detailed.
That company also made a jag xke roadster and mbz sl with the same drive train. But the 936 was the best of the lot with even a Porsche key!

Drop that body over a shifter kart, seal the floor, and take it to an autocross.

We used to sell them at Beverly Hills Motoring Accessories back in the 80s. The Porsche was 6900 bucks, the Mercedes SL was 5900 and the Jag XKE and Ferrari were 10 to 12.
