I may almost want a Singer 911 more than a Ruf CTR . . .

That was fun to watch. These guys are nuts!

Have they sold any cars or are their packages available yet?

I'd like to see their business plan. I suspect this is a hobby business (someone isn't worried too much about burning money, having fun). Their parts / packages business sounds more feasible than selling $350k+ custom cars.

Cheers,

George

The car is built on a 964. I believe it will be registered using that VIN. Further supporting that theory: Their website has 2 engine options. What looks to be a stock 3.6 with 270 hp and a hot rod > 350 hp. The 350 hp model has "off road use only" next to it. That probably means it won't pass CA smog, which means it likely is titled as a 964 still.

Forget the money. If you got it, get it. What a glorious horny machine!

Just don't be surprised when the latest hot 'vette hands you your donkey at the track...

But of course, having a singer is more about image among the P-car set than performance.

I still think the market for such a car is practically non-existant. This is why I said I'd really like to see the business plan. It probably doesn't exist - which is fine. More fun that way!

Watching that movie, you have to admit that the Singer car's guts are mainly based on the 964 and 993.

If I had that dough, I'd be building it myself with the help of TRE and would be able to pick every detail. Or if I bought something ready to go, it'd certainly not be naturally aspirated and be a Canepa 959 or a RUF CTR.

I can't wait to see one of these Singers in the flesh. Are there any on the road in SoCal that can be seen i.e at Cars&Coffee?

Cheers,

G

I wonder what the depreciation value is?

Probably very little. The extreme rarity, high quality, hand-built nature of the car should result in very little depreciation. In fact it might even appreciate - like the McLaren.
