Oxidized Aluminum Bumper
What can be done to oxidized aluminum surfaces to bring them back to their former glory? Anyone done this? Suggestions?

I had my aluminium bumper put through a paint and rust removal acid bath. Plus one or two other rusty bits of the car. It came out looking rather pitted but the car painter primered it, then fillered it, and painted it. It's been fine since.

I don't know what you are asking specifically but Aluminum polishes up to chrome like brilliance. Chemical baths are iffy.
