Guitar Center-purchase followup call????
I jusr received a call from the young man who did the sales transaction for a cymball and boom arn I bought last week. It really caught me off guard that they would call just to see if everything is working out.
I'm a new customer of GC as they weren't around when I was playing out. Have you guys experienced this as well? |
They're trying to develop some customer loyalty, plus the sales drones work on commission.
GC is so deep in the hole that they'll never dig their way out. I believe they're 9 digits behind on payments to Fender alone. |
This is why I never shop at GC and you shouldnt either. Support your local independent music store.
They dont give a f about your or your cymbal. They want your money. |
I just bought a few things from GC and told myself I'll never go back there. I'd rather give my money to a small independent. Overall my local GC has a bunch of d**kheads working there, they just want to make a sale and could give a s**t if I get what's best for me.

Wow, I didn't realize they were so bad. I found a fantastic local shop just a few miles from me. He just isn't open all of the time and didn't have what I was looking for.wwwbillschaffersdrumhop.com I stopped by his place yesterday and inquired about recent drummer magazines. He didn't have the latest issue but gave me a stack of older ones. The week before he gave me a t-shirt. Sweet! |
MY GC experience has always been good. The Atlanta store north druid/clairmont rd. Guys I have conversed with all musicians and never put on the press to buy. Go there whenever in Atl and head back to the used acoustics room and play a bunch of different guitars. In fact in doing that I ended up buying another guitar that i just didn't need. Not on the spot but several weeks later... kismet on that one. Gibson AJ.

I have never had anything but positive experiences with GC... All of their employees have always been very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable on the telephone. If they didn't know the answer to my questions, they asked somebody who did. YMMV

How's this for customer service? I have a Soldano Decatone, which is a crazy expensive boutique amp and I've had some issues with the channel switching pedal. Thurs. I was at NAMM and tracked down Michael Soldano himself, a living legend in the amp builder world. I told him about my issue, he wrote down some notes on my business card, said he'd try to recreate the issue at the shop and then call me next week.
