How many forums, etc. are you on?

Just curious....forums, FB, listservs, etc. How many do you regularly read or participate on?

Fairly regular on 5 forums + 1 listserv. No FB.

onewhippedpuppy 01-28-2013 05:12 AM

I only regularly post here. I've joined many forums based on what I owned at the time, needless to say I've joined many forums.:) I have a FB account that I haven't checked in months, and I use LinkedIn for professional networking.

I have the two for my magazines, but it is a chore to go over there. It's dead. I lurk at the 39-47 Dodge forum, and dozen other truck and tractor forums that I hit once a week to keep up. PPOT and PARF are the only ones I participate in on a regular basis.
There used to be a Marriage and Family forum on AOL that was a lot like PPOT. About 20 of us were on it daily for 10 years and became friends. I we had a convention all met each other. It was a hoot.

Yes, guys/gals...post which ones if you don't mind (topics though - you don't have to be specific)...just this one for me too.

I have a user name on El Camino Central, but I don't vist it very often. I have a user-name for the Ubuntu forum but I gave up on Ubuntu.

When looking for a solution to a specific problem I have found other forums with the answer to my question, but I never logged on. I have a Lawn-Boy M series lawn-mower that is 20 years old. The forum for the M series mower has some strange folks. They collect the mower like it is 356 or longhood 911. I just mow the grass with mine. I downloaded the entire repair and service manual for a 20 year old mower from their site. The only problem I have with it was the ignition module will die every 10 years or so.

I've maybe posted once or twice. I occasionally go search on there for an answer to a question though. Pelican is really my only active forum.

vash 01-28-2013 10:48 AM

ive joined alot of forums. mostly to glean some quick info or tip, never to be heard from again.

for example..some subaru forum. changed the sparkplugs and never revisted after my quick "thank you" post.

i belong to pelican and 3 active bowhunter forums. one tacoma forum to help me on my truck. i only really socialize on this one. this is the only holiday gift exchange i participate in for sure.
