Where's Milt/Zeke?

Seems like it has been a long time since I have seen him here. Anybody heard from him?

I cruise by now and then as I happened to be when I saw this. You might find me occasionally on the Boxster BBS as I still have to take care of that. I don't have much to say here so I gravitate to the Garage Journal and a few forums about metal working machinery. I've taken to machining lately and it keeps me busy as it's one of those things that takes years to learn and I'm getting an extremely late start.

I've watched hours of videos on YouTube from several prolific machinists and quite frankly I'm smitten. Just bought a small milling machine last weekend and I'm busy cleaning it up and ordering tooling. It's a whole new world to me.

I guess that's what I had been looking for most of last year, something worthwhile to do. I bought a few other machines and a new to me TIG welder recently.

So, that's where I am, makin' chips. Thanks for asking.

Happy New Year, Milt.

Make a turning cube and show it off!

Had to chuckle... doing the same thing recently Milt!

Been making things with the MIG and other machines in the hangar and truthfully find it very enjoyable and relaxing...

Milt,

You are gonna love it! I took a brief course about 20 years ago and darned near got hooked. Thank goodness I don't have space (or the cash) or there would be a couple more toys in the garage, just for making small pieces of metal out of big ones.

Best

Good for you Milt ! Soon we'll be calling you mr. Metal ! An old machinist once told me " it it ain't blue you ain't gettin thru " . And remember it's never too late to reinvent and enjoy/learn something new. Stay in touch.
