Can the Veteran Ravens D. stop the Niners?

esp. without their veteran cheerleader?

Kaepernick is pretty versatile on the option -- or maybe we should call it the super-option

This actually is an odd sort of game. Usually you have at least one if not both QB's being of the elite status. With this SB both QB's can go either way. They are capable of either, rotten or very good. If life has any fairness at all Kaep will get hurt, (nothing serious at all), and Smith has to come in and plays lights out for a 49er victory.

I'm rooting for the 49er's although I understand God is rooting for the Ravens.

It's going to be tough for the Ravens without a heavy cheerleader in the lineup.
I was born a Cleveland fan. My dad was a Rams fan before the Browns. So I can't root for the Ravens, even if Art Modell is dead.

Pistol option....derived from the offense he ran at UNR. Until they crashed and burned in Hawai'i they were in the top ten in the NCAA and undefeated. They still went on to beat Boise State.

Yup. The whole QB in a pocket thing has changed with the newer QBs out there - they may go into a pocket initially but seem happy to run (for a while) if forced out. Or pass to the multiple receivers...

I predict Harbaugh is gonna win this.

Raven's D has given up a ton of yards but mostly been stingy on points. This should be good, tough matchup for any team. It's hard to believe the kid can keep his cool under the pressure but he's done it so far and won the 49ers a few games. Impressive.

I hope old Ed has another pick 6 left in the tank.

I expect the 49ers will win by 9. I don't care for either team but kaper is pretty exciting so I will root for him. Don't think I want to see Ray Lewis dancing, crying, praying, yelling or generally preen for the camera anymore than neccessary. If Baltimore wins it will be non stop ray ray.

Falcons did for a half. Problems with spying Kaep leaves one less in for zone coverage. Need to be secure with man to man... or get to Kaep a lot, and hard, hitting on the read options regardless if it's a pitch on the corner.

Think Ravens' def bertter than Falcons' so, it IS possible. Line play as always huh?

I've been watching NFL AM all week...great channel for the SB.
They've got a thing for Lewis...I go do things when they fuss over him.

Ray Lewis is 37 years old and not as mobile laterally as he used to be. Passes over the middle to tight ends could give Lewis problems. Plus, they took his deer antler spray away.

Elk Spray coming

I hope they can't keep up with the 49ers. I'm just not a Ray L. fan.

bivenator 02-01-2013 08:00 AM

Linebackers will need to spy on kaper, leaving them a step slower in coverage. Look for V Davis to have a huge game.
