1984 Yamaha RZ350 Sold! - $9,700
~~~~~~~~ I sold my '83 14 years ago for $4k to a local collector. 2,300 miles. It was far more original than this one...as it came from the factory/dealer. Also had the KR rear seat cowl which is mega bucks today. Talk about prices on older bikes, eh?
I have a 2nd owner '84 black yellow with 3,300 miles on it. All original. I think these things will peak around $15K, as there are A LOT of them out there, although very few in original shape. They have been routinely selling for $6K-$8K, but $9700 is strong money.
I grew up on RDs and LCs in the UK and just like a lot of 50 something blokes I'd like to get another one but at the prices people are asking for nice RZs looks like I will move on to something else. Picked up a '70 Yamaha enduro as those things are super cheap and a lot of fun. Me and the boy will fix it up while I search for a nice DT175.
I wanted one of those so badly back in high school. The one just like Motion's, yellow and black. I think they were 2500 bucks new back then
Happy Thanksgiving all!
Thats some crazy dough for such a bike, but whatever. I purchased a KR edition with solo cowl new in '84. Before it was even kicked over and rolled out of the dealer, pulled the cat and stock pipes replaced with Toomey's, batt. box, rejet. Memory is fuzzy but might have been $2,200 / 2,400 out the door. Pretty cool little ride though. Had a leg cast at the time, kept me off my big bike but could use my arm to ratchet down that starter on the RZ. With the mild mod's / US version, on a good day could crunched in a tight tuck could pull 115 maybe 120. LOL
