Anyone try a bazooka sub-woofer?

Trying to cram more sound into my tiny car... the bazooka type sub seems pretty space efficent... however they get mixed reviews.

No, don't need a boom box... Listen mostly to rock and roll/Jazz...

Thanks in advance.

Had one in my trunk, didn't like it. I even ported 4 or 5, 4" holes into the cabin to allow more sound. Didn't work.
I really liked the under seat subwoofer, that worked the best.

Yes, after reading the reviews thinking of going with a under/behind the seat flat sub instead.

Thanks!

i had one. hated it.

i replaced it with an amp and a small encloser 10" sub. i am sure it was a kicker solo-baric sub. it was a HUGE improvement. put the amp under the other seat, and the sub box was actually smaller than the tube.

absolutely no room in my rat rod so I used a 1000 watt powered boss low profile subwoofer sitting in the middle of the bench seat. also used an 800 watt pyle low profile powered subwoofer under the seat of my 4runner. pretty good sound for about $130 each at the time I got mine

I used one in the hatch of a 924S that I used to own. Worked OK and hard to beat for the money, also easy to remove if I needed the space.

I think it all depends on the car it is put in. I had a 10"Alpine type E with a 400W amp in the hatch, under the carpet in my 924. I moved the exact set-up into my civic, and it didn't sound nearly as good.

I have an 8 inch one behind the seat of my truck, replaced the speaker when it gave up. I am running a Rackford punch 900 mono amp to it and am using it as a true sub and not a woofer. I like the fast response of the 8, works good for the metal stuff but not that great for blues.

Boss audio has a low profile sub/built in amp that available in different sizes. Perfect for the minimalist. Love the one I've owned for about 5 yrs now.

Never cared for the sound, I always thought they were very "boomy". I greatly prefer a quality sub in a sealed box, especially for listening to normal music.

Infinity Basslink.... It'll keep up just fine and play pretty much anything you want.

did a bazooka in the trunk--it was OK. Saw this while looking for under seat woofer to replace it.
