What Is Your Favorite Movie Scene ?
I used to think it was a scene from True Grit. Now I place most Steve McQueen movies above John Wayne. In The Magnificent Seven, Yul Brynner and Steve McQueen drive the hearse to the grave yard."We'll get there , It is not getting there that bothers me, It's staying there" What a Line.

Too many favorites. Christopher Walken was the best in this movie...

Pool table scene from "The Limey", but it's not re-printable here.

Yeah I gotta go with McQueen on this one. The way he looks at the young German soldier before he goes into his cell.....and then the soldier stops after he hears the Ka-thump - Ka-thump - Ka-thump....
My father always enjoyed this part too. <iframe width="640" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/BaYtXZxc0ls" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
You have to include the final scene from "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly"

The scene in the Untouchables when the baby carriage is going down the stairs, Kevin Costner has to decide whether to go for the baby or shoot the bad guys. He goes for the bad guys an follows the carriage down the stairs, shooting bad guys as he tries to save the baby. As he runs out of ammo Andy Garcia comes around the corner and underhands a revolver to him as he dives for the baby carriage. Andy Garcia ends up on his back, one hand holding the baby carriage and the other pointing his revolver at the bad guy who has his gun to the head of the bookkeeper. The bad guy says he's going to kill the bookkeeper at the count of three.
Bad guy: One . . . Kevin Costner: Do you got him? Andy Garcia: (cool as a cucumber) Yeah. I got him. Kevin Costner: Take him! Andy Garcia: Bang! Also the scene in Out of Africa where Meryl Streep and Robert Redford were hunting lions and a pride charged them. They shot the lions at such close range the momentum brought the bodies of the lions almost into Redford and Streep. I know they must have used tripwires to get the effect, which is cruel and wrong, but the visual was mesmerizing. |
In what film does someone say, "the Germans build a good car"?

HAL: Look Dave, I can see you're really upset about this. I honestly think you ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill, and think things over. |
