Purchased W210 4Matic Wagon for my wife. Best MB W210 DIY Forum?

Last weekend we purchased a 2002 Mercedes Benz E320 4Matic wagon for my wife to be used as a daily driver. Initially we were looking at a Land Rover LR3 but instead decided to keep our hill billy pickup truck and just replace the minivan. After some deal hunting I was able to find a rust free California wagon with an up-to-date fully stamped service book. The car has needed nothing though its entire life but routine maintenance. The car is absolutely perfect inside and out and drives like a brand new car. My wife is absolutely thrilled with the purchase and has vowed to never go back to an American car. The kids love the rear facing 3rd row seating.

Some my question for the PP brain trust is what is the best, most active DIY Mercedes forum supporting the W210 platform?

Speedy

It is supposed to be a sealed-for-life transmission but I am wanting to change the fluid and filter.

Keep in mind that sealed for life means "until the warranty expires".

124K

There has been no transmission service if I recall. I have a printout of the Mercedes A and B service items as it isn't mentioned in there either.

I use benzworld.org, great forum, but only have experience with the W124 board.

Benzworld or Peachparts. They are remarkably similar, (even redundant), but both excellent as well. I use them both.

Definitely buy a dipstick and do a trans fluid change. I think you have a 722.6. Also try and do 2 or 3 drain, fill, start, put in gear, drain again until the fluid runs clears. It is reported that with one change at 50K these transmissions will outlast the body.
