has anyone seen Mike Tyson's one-man show?
thinking of buying tickets. reviews are great.
i am so happy he is doing something creative with himself. i watched that episode of SVU he was in..and i thought he was pretty good! i am a tyson fan! the show is called "undisputed truth" |
He was pretty good on "How I Met Your Mother" and in the Hangover movies.
He's also the last person on the face of the planet I'd ever expect to have his $h!t together. |
if george foreman can go from bad-ass to beloved, why not mike tyson?

I'll never forget the first time I saw Tyson fight on TV. He came out and simply mauled the other guy. His opponent was on his butt in less than 30 seconds. Fight lasted about 2 minutes total.
|
The 1st time I saw him fight was on Friday night fights on ESPN.
Early 80's. Beast! |
What does he do? I think he is coming here.
|
Should be interesting... I thought he wasn't quite playing with a full deck? He wasn't that great in Hangover, IMHO.
|
Maybe we should get him to help out Gary Busey...

A guy that raises pigeons can't be all bad.

He really has turned his life around. Good for him. But I never enjoyed his fights. Just a brawler more than anything. All power and no brains. A bit of style could have made all the difference. |
I boxed Golden Gloves as a kid, so I grew up a boxing fan - and eventually a Tyson fan. As far as the art of boxing is concerned, I saw Tyson as quite talented. He had very good defensive skills and used his thighs and torso to put power into his punches (esp. his left hook). He was brutal in that way...and one reason why most feared him...along with how he was able to bring his innate rage into the ring.
. One of the best fights you'd want to watch was Buster Douglas's beating (shaming) of Tyson in Japan. Bad combo - best performance of Douglas's career & sluggish performance by Tyson. Tyson knocked the kid down when Douglas got lazy (common issue for Douglas)...but he recovered quickly. I have enjoyed the many replays I have watched. :) |
