What not to say when selling a car
I kid you not
"I am the third owner. My Mom bought it at auction then I convinced her to sell it to me. The original owner killed himself in this wagon after killing his mom because she was beyond repair. If I could have I would have got a brake job and dropped a rebuilt engine into her because she turns heads when I drive her anywhere" ????? On eBay item number251232123348 |
Oh, nice...

eBay, 'nuff said. The ads on that site are a real yardstick of the intellectual and social fiber of our society, which I find a bit discouraging to say the least.

Normally when someone starts a thread like this, they put a link to the thing they're talking about. Like this:
|
If I'm gonna buy a murder wagon, I'd want a better deal than $6,000. Probably doesn't need the AC replaced with the cold energy of the previous owner's ghost in there.
|
Speeder, Sorry I made it soo difficult.
Can't do it on ipad. |

meet wagon. meet idiot.

I guess it depends on how he did it. Carbon monoxide poisoning will not leave the same kind of mark as a gunshot. I accidentally bought a BMW 2002 at a donor lot many years ago that the owner had killed himself in by gunshot. It was not disclosed, of course. There was a pool of half-dried blood soaking the carpet and floor behind the drivers seat. My dog found it first. Nastiest clean-up job ever.

I would be concerned about how long the guy "cooked" inside before he was found. Had a friend who left a cooler with chicken breasts in his trunk before he went on vacation. Two weeks later I opened the trunk of his car to find a smell beyond compare and a cooler full of fresh crawling maggots. Never did get the smell out of the car and he sold it a few months later at a major discount.

Oooooh. Chicken gone bad is a terrible smell.
We rented a car in Mexico I swear had to have been used to transport dead bodies, it smelled that bad! |
Good point, Denis. We need to check the Carfax to see what happened.
