Antique fan....any knowledge from the collective?

Found in the storage shed....Robbins and Myers, brass bladed fan.....#2610. Looks to be from the 20s?

Are these collectible or just funky junk?

I always thought it would be cool to restore an old fan like that.

Well, if interested I can take an offer to Momz.....shut up Sid.

The cord is a little scary so I haven't plugged it in. But it turns freely....not like rocket science to rewire.

Do your research, some fans of that vintage can be quite valuable. It isn't my forte, but some of my radio collector friends also collect fans. I imagine there is a forum for these much like PP or Antique Radio Forums for the fan restoring/collecting community.

Not sure what would be a fair price. I never researched how much they go for, I saw a show once where someone collected these things and thought I would give it a try someday. Shoot me a pm with what you think you need to get for it and I might just bite.

I have a beautiful GE fan from around 1911. It's actually the only fan I use in the house.

We had an old fan similar to that, but my wife tossed it one day.
