It depends on how the car was maintained.

I have a mid 80s Ferrari with 5K miles on it. It's fully maintained and has no issues at all.

That being said, I'd hold out for a 560SL. In the US, the 560s were a huge improvement over the 380. The 380's are dogs. And 560s are available for very little money.
